HUGE DEMAND FOR TTD’s MAHABHARATAM IN PUSTAKA PRADARSHANA

TIRUPATI, FEB 6: The TTD publications which were displayed in the book expo that was opened in SV High School grounds in Tirupati during 31 of Jan, has been attracting book lovers in a big way.

Especially the denizens are showing interest to purchase the 15-volumes “Mahabharatam” which was redesigned and reprinted by TTD. Out of the 5000 sets published by TTD, already 2000 were sold out. Meanwhile it took almost 25 years to concise and write `Mahabharata’ in Telugu literary exponents including Divakarla Venkavadhani, Nanduri Ramkrishnamacharyulu and Appajodu Venkata Subbaiah while the finishing touches were given by Madhunapantula Satyanaryana.

The actual cost for printing a set comprising 15 volumes costs around Rs.4500 to Rs. 5,000, but the temple management with an aim to propagate Hindu Sanatana Dharma has been marketing the set at a price of just Rs.1800 giving a huge subsidy since “Mahabharata”.
