INTERACT WITH MILLERS IN COMMODITIES PURCHASES_ TTD EO
Tirupati, 6 July 2016: TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao has directed the officials of the marketing department to interact with the millers of specified commodities to ensure quality, better prices and also timely deliveries.
Addressing the officials during a review of the department at the TTD admin building today the EO advised that the officials could interact with traders of Anantapur and Chittoor for procuring Jaggery and Tamarind. Since TTD needs 25 tonnes of sugar every day in making of prasadams etc, at least 15 days reserve stock should be maintained, he cautioned.
He also instructed the engineering officials that a second cold store be set up within a month to keep cashew, edible oils, sugar, dals, elaichi, dried grapes and tamarind. The EO also asked the Medical and IT department which tested the quality of all prasadams to utilise IT applications to speed up the process of testing samples of all parasadams.
The EO also advised the purchase department officials to revise the tender regulations to ensure transparency and quality supply of goods to the temple.
