JEO COMMENCES SHOBHA YATRA OF LAKSHMI KASULA HARAM

Tirupati, 14 February 2015: In connection with the on going annual Brahmotsavams at Srinivasa Mangapuram, the presiding deity Sri kalyana Venkateswara swamy received two precious jewels from the coffers of tirumala for the special occasion.

“Seema Kamalalu” and “Kempu Sankha-Chakralu” have been offered to the deity. These jewels were estimated to have a valuation of around Rs.15.28lakhs and were formally handed over to Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar by Tirumala temple Dy E O Sri C Ramana durin the Shobha Yatra of the famous Lakshmi kasula haram on Saturday in Tirupati.

Meanwhile the shobhayatra was commenced by Tirupati Jeo Sri Pola Bhaskar from ttd administrative building.This haram which is brought from Tirumala will be decorated to the processional deity Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy on Saturday evening on the occasion of Garuda Seva at Srinivasa Mangapuram.

Early during the day, the sacred Andal Goda Devi garlands have reached Srinivasa Mangapuram from Sri Govinda raja swamy temple. These garlands will also be decorated to Kalyana Venkateswara for the special occasion.

The Shobha Yatra passed through the important streets of Tirupati amidst tight security before reaching Srinivasa Mangapuram and was received by the temple dy.e.o. Sri EC Sreedhar in a traditional temple custom at the entrance of the temple.

Meanwhile ttd has made elaborate arrangements for the big event of the nine day religious fete by deploying 100 security personnel, 100 srivari sevakulu for Garuda Seva. The Lord decked in dazzling jewels and garments will ride on golden Garuda from 8pm to 11pm on Saturday evening.

Tirumala Temple DyEO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, Peishkar Sri R Selvam, VGO Sri Raveendra Reddy, AVSO Sri Giridhar and others were present.
