JEO INSPECTS KALYANAKATTAS IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 15 March 2015: With the increased week end pilgrim rush in Tirumala from the past two days, TTD JEO Sri P Bhaskar, on Sunday inspected the Kalyanakattas.

The JEO also inspected mini kalyanakattas at Sannidhanam, Padmavathi Area, HVC, MBC, ANC apart from main kalyanakatta as a part of his surprise visit.

Later speaking to media persons near Padmavathi area Kalyanakatta, the JEO said it has been noticed that there is an uneven work load in the tonsuring areas. “Where there is heavy rush or serpentine queue lines, the tonsuring staff are limited while in the places like Sannidhanam where pilgrim count is less, the tonsurers are more in number. I have now instructed the concerned officer, to immediately work on this and distribute the work evenly to see that no pilgrim is put to inconvenience”, he maintained.

The JEO also said, since the summer vacation is fast approaching, we will be inviting Kalyanakatta Srivari Sevakulu from April onwards and their free tonsuring services will be utilised till July end.

Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Kalyanakatta Deputy EO Sri Krishna Reddy, Dy EO General Smt Baby Sarojini were also present.
