JEO REVIEWS ON RADHASAPTHAMI ARRANGEMENTS

Tirumala, 20 January 2015: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju reviewed on “Radhasapthami” festival arrangements with TTD senior officials and HODs at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.

He directed the various department heads including Annaprasadam, Temple, Vigilance, Health, PR, SVBC, Garden, Engineering and Forest departments to make elaborate arrangements for this one day festival which is also known as “Mini Brahmotsavams” as the Lord takes celestial ride on seven vahanams on a single day starting from dawn till night.

The JEO instructed the engineering officials to set up barricades in the galleries in view of the heavy pilgrim rush which is expected for this one day mega event of Lord Venkateswara. He also instructed vigilance sleuths to make elaborate security arrangements to see that no untoward incident take place during the time of vahanam procession as well during Chakrasnanam in Swamy Pushkarini.
He also directed the vigilance officials to take the assistance of Srivari Sevakulu and Scouts also the students of Veda Pathashala(For Vaidika Haram) to maintain the pilgrim crowd.

He directed the Annadanam and Health officials to supply annaprasadams and water continuously to the pilgrims waiting in the galleries to witness the procession of lord. He has instructed the Garden officer to set up pandals and colourful floral displays in the mada-streets and other vital points to give a festive look to the event.

Meanwhile TTD has cancelled all arjitha sevas and privileged darshans including aged and physically handicapped, parents with infants etc. on January 26 following Radhasapthami

Meanwhile the Surya Jayanthi Mahotsvam (Rathasapthami) on January 26 begins with Surya Prabha Vahanam between 5.30am to 8am followed by Chinna Sesha (9am to 10am), Garuda Vahanam (11am to 12 noon), Hanumantha Vahanam (1pm to 2pm), Chakrasnanam (2pm to 3pm), Kalpavriksha Vahanam(4pm to 5pm), Sarvabhoopala Vahanam(6pm to 7pm) and concludes with Chandra Prabha Vahanam(8pm to 9pm)
