“KALA NEERAJANAM” IS THE PRIMARY PLATFORM FOR “NADA NEERAJANAM”-JEO

Tirupati, July 6: TTD Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar on Sunday called upon the aspirants who took part in the “Kala Neerajanam” programme held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati to make use of the opportunity since this platform is basis for them to perform on “Nada Neerajanam” platform in Tirumala.

The JEO inaugurated Kala Neerajanam preliminary selections on Sunday organised under the aegis of TTDs Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel.

Speaking on this occasion he said, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) has designed this new programme with an aim to provide an opportunity to the local (from the state) budding talents in the field of classical arts including vocal, bharatanatyam or kuchipudi and instrumental music to perform in the abode of Lord Venkateswara.

Meanwhile on Sunday, the preliminary selections budding talents hailing from Nellore was held. About 50 participants exhibited their talents. Similarly the preliminary competitions for Anantapur is on July 7, for Kurnool on July 8, for Kadapa on July 9 and for Chittoor on July 10.

The candidates who are selected will give an opportunity to perform first at Mahati Auditorium on July 19 and 20. Finally the expert judges team will select the final list of the candidates who got eligibility to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform and also in sahasra deepalankara seva at Tirumala.

Smt Padmavathi, Sri Sabari Girish, Smt Vandana acted as judges for Vocal, Smt Usha Rani and Sri Devender Pillai for classical dance, Sri Pudukkotai Ramanathan and Sri Pudukkotai Krsinamurthy for instrumental music while Sri Tirupati M Sudhakar anchored the programme.

HDPP Special Officer Sri Sriram Raghunath, SVBC Liasion Officer Sri Venkata Sharam and others were also present.
