KALA NEERJANAM AT NATIONAL LEVEL

Tirupati, 21 July 2014: The final round selections for the unique programme “Kala Neerajanam” designed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) with an aim to provide an opportunity to the local (from the state) budding talents in the field of classical arts including vocal, bharatanatyam or kuchipudi and instrumental music to perform in the abode of Lord Venkateswara concluded at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday with the finalists performing their skills.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar who attended this programme as Chief Guest said, that hence forth this Kalaneerajanam will be conducted regularly to identify the local talents and give them an opportunity to perform at Tirumala and other TTD related temples. “This programme will be soon conducted in other states also and will be a national event”, he maintained.

The JEO said, the top three finalists who are selected in the respective art forms will be given opportunity to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform at Tirumala, Unjal seva and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and at TTD sub-temples respectively.

“The second round of selections will be for the districts of West Godavari, Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam districts and the dates will be announced soon. The local artistes can make use of this selection programme”, he maintained.

Meanwhile judges Sri Pudukkotai Krishnanmurthy and Sri Annavarapu Ramaswamy complimented TTD for this innovative idea as this programme provided an opportunity to many budding talents to exhibit their skills.

HDPP Special Officer Sri Sriram Raghunath, SVBC Liaison Officer Sri Venkata Sharma and others were also present.
