KALANEERAJANAM TO BE A REGULAR PROCESS TO SELECT FRESH TALENTS-JEO

TIRUPATI, JANUARY 10: The unique programme of Kalaneerajanam introduced by TTD to give a scope to fresh and talents to perform at TIRUPATI and Tirumala will continue as a regular process henceforth, said TTDs TIRUPATI JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Addressing the audience at Mahati Auditorium on Sunday evening as a part of 168 Sri Tyagaraja Aradhanotsavams, the JEO said, around 56 young and fresh talents have been selected during Kalaneerajanam selections across the state of AP during last year. “They will perform at TIRUPATI and Tirumala temples during religious events” , he added.

He said TTD is also contemplating to introduce Sampradaya Sangeetha Sammelanam soon to encourage the talented aged artistes who could not make it on the stage due to ill health or age reasons. “Even the students of these maestros will be given opportunity to perform at Tirupati for a week during Annamaiah Aradhanotsavams”, he added.

Later Carnatic music legends Sri Malladi Suribabu, violinist Sri A Ramaswamy, renowned playback singer Sri Gangadhara Shastry also appreciated the efforts of TTD to encourage Carnatic music and other traditional fine arts.

The JEO later distributed certificates to the artistes who were selected in Kalaneerajanam.

Vedic varsity VC Sri K E Devanathan, Devasthanams Educational Officer Sri A Vijay Kumar, DyEOs Sri Siva Reddy, Smt Sarada, SV Music College Principal Smt Padmavathi were also present.
