KALYANAMASTHU HELD IN CHENNAI, TAMIL NADU STATE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Chennai,11 Dec. 09: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams with the cooperation of the Chennai Local Advisory Committe has conducted the Kalyanamasthu programme in Chennai VVR Dharmasala, royapettaiah on dec 11. The programme in conducted with vedic hymns besides Sri Vari Kalyanam nearly 57 couples have wedlocked in the presence of Lord Sri Venkateswara along with Goddess Sridevi and Bhudevi. As it is well known that the TTD has conducted 5 phases of kalyanamasthu across Andhra Pradesh and nearly 33 thousand couples wedlocked by the blessings of the Lord Venkateswara swamy. As per the decision of the TTD Trust Board similar kalyanamasthu is conducted today for the first time in Tamil Nadu i.e. other than Andhra Pradesh. The TTD has presented the couples golden mangalsutras, meettulu, Mangala Dravyalu, new clothes etc on free of cost, besided Lord Photo, calendar, etc.
Sri D.K.Audikesavulu, Chairman, Dr.N.Yuvaraj, Joint Executive Officer, Sri Bhupathi Reddy, DyEO, Sri Gopalakrishna, DyEO(Temple), Local Advisory Chairman Sri Anand Kumar Reddy, Members Prabhakara Reddy and others have blessed the newly weded couples.
