KAREETISTHI, VARUNAJAPA, AMRITA VARSHINI AND VIRATA PRAVAM TO APPEASE RAIN GOD-TIRUMALA JEO

Tirumala, 22 May 2017: To appease the Rain God for good rains to shower in state as well in the country, TTD will organise Kareeristhi, Varunajapam in Tirumala from May 29 to June 2 in a religious manner under the supervision of HH Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy, the chief pontiff of Kanchi mutt, said Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

In connection with the Kareeristhi Yagam, he inspected the site of Paruveta Mandapam where this five day religious activity is scheduled to take place. He instructed the engineering officials to make necessary arrangements to perform the yaga. Later speaking to media persons he said, apart from Kareeristhi yagam, Varuna Japam will also be performed in Swamy Pushkarini near Varaha Swamy temple. “Eminent artists will present “Amrita Varshini” raagam on naada neerajanam plat form while versatile scholars render Virata Parva Parayanam in Asthana Mandapam to appease rain god”, he added.

JEO INSPECTS QUEUE LINES

Earlier the JEO inspected the queue lines of Sarva Darshanam and Divya Darsahnam in Narayanagiri Gardens. He later walked along the path from Sringeri Mutt to Narayanagiri gardens. He instructed the engineering and garden wings to beautify the roads in this area and also plant greenery in vacant places following the directions of Honourable AP CM Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu who made some suggestions during his recent visit to Tirumala.
