KARTHIKA DEEPOTSAVAM BYTTD IN AMARALINGESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE IN NEW CAPITAL CITY OF AMARAVATHI ON NOV 25

TIRUPATI, NOVEMBER 14: The TTD is gearing up to observe the auspicious religious festival of Karthika Deepam in a big way for the first time in the new capital city of AP, in Amaravathi on November 25 as a part of the eighth phase of Karthika Pournami Managudi programme.

As per the Hindu almanac, among the twelve months, Karthika Masam happens to be the eighth one and is considered to be most auspicious for both Hari (Lord Vishnu) and Hara (Lord Shiva). This time TTD is set ready to observe Karthika Deepotsavam festival in five major cities during the entire month of Karthika starting from November 16 in Vizag in Kalimata temple premises near RK Beach, followed by Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple in Mantralayam on November 23 in Kurnool. While on November 25, the Karthika Deepotsavam will be celebrated on a grand scale in the ancient and famous Sri Amaralingeswara Swamy temple in Amaravathi in Guntur and on November 30 in Shilparamam at Hyderabad. This celestial fete will conclude on on December 7 at Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple premises in Bhadrachalam.

Meanwhile Mangala Kaisika Dwadasi will be observed on November 23 which includes special programmes with Mala Dasaris in 89 revenue divisions in both the Telugu speaking states will be organized with a noble aim to revive and bring back past glory to Mala Dasari System. On November 24 community Satyanarayana Vratam will be performed in the selected temples falling under the revenue divisions of AP and TS.
