KARTHIKA DEEPOTSAVAM PERFORMED IN SRI KT

Tirupati, 12 December,2016: Braving the inclement weather and incessant rains, hundreds of devotees thronged the ancient temple of Lord Shiva in Kapilateertham on Monday evening to take part in the Karthika Deepotsavam.

On every year with the advent of Krittika star, TTD observes Karthika Deepotsavam in a big way in this famous sub-shrine in Tirupati. After Naivedya, ghee lit lamps were lighted in the entire premises of the shrine which gave a glittering look in the pleasant event.

The women devotees also lit lamps in the premises with utmost devotion chanting the Siva Nama which echoed in the entire area.

TTD has also made elaborate arrangements in view of heavy rush. Security arrangements were also made to control the crowd. Temple DyEO Sri Balaji supervised the arrangements.
