KARTHIKA VANA BHOJANAM HELD AT NAGALAPURAM

NAGALAPURAM, NOV 18: The karthika vanabhojanam held at a the famous temple of Srivedavalli Sametha Sri Vedanaraynaswamy temple at
Nagalapuram, about 65km from Tirupati on Monday.

The Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar who took part in this community dining said that TTD has been organising the Karthika Vanabhojanam in a series of temples including Tirumala, Agasthiswaralayam and now at Nagalapuram to encourage community dining which takes a significant place in Hindu Dharma especially during the holy month of Karthika.

The JEO also said, TTD is searching for a suitable place to set up a veda pathashala at this pilgrim centre. “Since the presiding deity happens to be Vedanarayana Swamy-who protected the Vedas, we are contemplating to set up a Vedic school here”, he maintained.

Earlier, 30 faculty members and over 220 students hailing from Sri Venkateswara Vedic Varsity rendered Chaturveda Parayana in the temple.

Later the JEO, SV Vedic varsity VC Sri KE Devanathan, Deputy EO Local temple Sri Harindranath took part in the Karthika Vanabhoajanam held in temple premises. Hundreds of devotees and locals also took part in this community dining.
