KOIL ALWAR TIRUMANJANAM PERFORMED AT SRINIVASA MANGAPURAM TEMPLE

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 26 June: In connection with the Sakshatkara Vaibhavam which is to take place in the temple of Sri Kalyana Venakteswara Swamy from July 2 to 4in the temple of Srinivasa Mangapuram, koil alwar tirumanjanam was performed in this famous temple on Thursday.

The entire walls, corridors, ceiling, deities, sub-deities, utsava murthies were brought out of the sanctum and cleansed with water and later Tirumanjanam-a composition of camphor, saffron, kicchiligadda (a root) and sandal is smeared on all. While the purification ceremony is on, the main deity was closed with a cover. Later all the deities were replaced and special pujas were performed to the deities along with the presiding deity.

TTD EO Sri MG Gopal, JEO Tirupati Sri P Bhaskar, Deputy EO Sri Sridhar and others also took part in this temple cleansing fete.

TEMPLE SCREENS DONATED

The Chairman and Managing Director of CMR group of companies Sri Challa Venugopal Rao donated two huge temple screens to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram on Thursday.

On his behalf, the company representative SriChella Venkateswara Rao donated these paradas (each costing about Rs.35,000) and handed over the same to temple authorities.
