KOIL ALWAR TIRUMANJANAM PERFORMED IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 17 March 2015: The religious fete of koil alwar tirumanjanam has been performed with religious fervour in Tirumala shrine on Tuesday. This fete is usually observed four times in a year before annual Brahmotsavams, Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Ugadi and Anivara Asthanam.

As the Telugu Ugadi is scheduled for March 21, the entire temple premises has been cleansed with aromatic paste which was smeared all over the walls, roof and sub-shrines inside temple. Before the cleansing process is commenced, the main deity was covered with a white cloth. The temple staff took part enthusiastically in this temple cleansing activity. Ttd has cancelled Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva following the ritual. The darshan commenced after 11 am for the pilgrims.
