TTD DOORS OPEN FOR BEST SERVICE PROVIDERS

NEW WATSAPP NUMBER TO ENHANCE TRANSPARENCY

TIRUMALA, 6 May 2016: To enhance transparency and provide better services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims, TTD will launch on-line application for Marriages to be performed at Tirumala Kalyanavedika and Srivari Seva voluntary service, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

BEST SERVICE PROVIDERS IN ALL AREAS:

Before receiving the calls from the pilgrim callers during the Dial Your EO programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO briefed on the important developmental activities which have lined up for the benefit of the pilgrims. He said, TTD has been taking the services of best service providers in all areas to develop the quality of existing system. For instance we have invited Tata Consultancy Services who are designing best IT applications to enhance transparency in on-line arjitha seva ticket booking, Kalyana Vedika, Srivari Seva, Laddu Counters etc. “We welcome all those best service providers if they come forward with innovative ideas for the benefit of the pilgrims”,

VOLUNTEERS TRAINING WITH SATYA SAI ORGANISATION

In the last sixteen years about 6.8lakhs srivari sevakulu have rendered services to pilgrims in Tirumala. Now we have been extending their services to Parakamani, Laddu Prasadam counters to enhance transparency in the system. But with an aim to give much better and qualitative services to the pilgrims by extracting the best out of the sevakulu, we have invited one of the renowned service organisations in the country, Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation, who will impart training to srivari sevakulu in quality services for a period of six months from May to October end.

ONLINE ARJITHA SEVA TICKETS

The EO said, TTD has released a total of 49,046 arjitha seva tickets in its online quota for the month of June including suprabhatam-6157, thomala-140, archana-140,viseshapuja-750, astadalam-80,nijapadam-1115, kalyanotsavam-10874, unjal Seva-2900,Vasanthotsavam- 6880, arjitha brahmotsavam -6235, sahasradeepalankaram-13775.

MORE RO PLANTS TO REDUCE USAGE OF PLASTIC BOTTLES-TTD EO

While answering a pilgrim caller Sri Nagabhushanam from Chittoor who sought to reduce the usage of plastic in Tirumala as it has huge impact on environs, the EO said, measures are on to reduce usage of plastic. “We have now placed Reverse Osmosis plants at many places in Tirumala. There is no need for pilgrims to purchase mineral water bottles now. We are ready to set up more number of plants in future for the sake of pilgrims”, he added.

MY SON MARRIAGE AT PUROHITA SANGHAM-MALAYSIAN PILGRIM

A Malaysian Pilgrim Caller inquired the TTD EO about the procedure to perform his son’s marriage on June 16 at Tirumala. Answering the caller, the EO said it is a welcoming gesture and informed him that the online application for marriages to be performed at Kalyana Vedika in Tirumala will be launched on May 9 and even you have the facility to come here and book the marriage slot a day before”, he added.

PROPAGATE AGAINST INHUMANE KILLING OF COWMATA

Another caller Sri Narayanaswamy from Tadipatri requested TTD EO to widely publicise against the brutal killing of cows, to which the EO said, “We have been already observing Gopuja every Kanuma day in a year and TTD will be very soon bringing out a book let on the importance of Cow in Hindu Dharma and definitely do its part in the noble mission of protecting cows”, he added.

ACCOMMODATION MODULE SOON

While answering a pilgrim caller Sri Ganesh from Hyderabad, the EO said, to enhance transparency in the accommodation system, TTD will soon bring out accommodation module. “In laddu counters, we have been utilising the services of Srivari Sevakulu which yielded good response from the pilgrims. Very soon we will extend their services in other core areas to give enhanced and transparent services to pilgrims”, he added.

TELECAST TELUGU PROGRAMMES ON SVBC DURING PRIME TIME

Another pilgrim caller Sri Ramachandra Sharma from Puttaparthi while welcoming the training of srivari sevakulu with satyasai seva organisation sought TTD EO to telecast Telugu programmes during prime time on SVBC. Answering the caller the TTD EO said, as most of the pilgrims from Tamilnadu and Karnataka are also visiting Tirumala, they have dedicated one and a half hours to Tamil and one hour to kannada programme. “However when the second SVBC channel comes up, we will dedicate the first channel exclusively for Telugu programmes and in the second channel we will allocate slots to Tamil, Kannada and Hindi spiritual programmes”, he maintained.

SPECIAL LINE FOR TULABHARAM

A pilgrim caller from Vellore Smt Adilakshmi sought the EO to think of a separate line for Tulabharam devotees, for which the EO said little scope is available as there are many devotees offering Tulabharam every day.

SERIES OF SPIRITUAL PROGRAMMES IN MAY-TTD EO

TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao said, TTD is gearing up to observe series of important religious programmes in Tirumala in the month of May including the millennium Jayanthi celebrations of Sri Ramanujacharya on May 10, Vengamamba on May 20 and Annamacharya on May 21. Apart from this we have the launch of on line applications for Marriages and Srivari Seva on May 9 and Subhapradham summer training classes for students of 8,9,10 classes from May 22-29″, he added.

READY FOR SUMMER PILGRIM CROWD-TIRUMALA JEO

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said, the TTD has geared up completely to cope with summer pilgrim rush. “As a heat relief measure, we have set up the sprinkler water system in the mada streets, put shelters where ever necessary and painted summer coolants. Special teams have also been deployed to man the queue lines inside the temple during this peak season”, he added.

SPEED CONTROL MEASURES-CSO

The Chief Security Officer of Tirumala Sri Ravinder Reddy said speed control measures have been initiated on the ghat roads. “During last month about 1050 vehicles were not allowed to ply on the ghat due to over speed. We will take stern action on the vehicles if they did not reach Tirumala and Tirupati in the prescribed timings”, he added.

TTD STUDENTS TO RENDER RAMANUJA GADYA TRAYAM-SO

All Projects Special Officer and Director Sri N Muktheswara Rao said, the Students of TTD will be rendering Gadya Trayam written by Sri Ramanujacharya on May 10. “On the auspicious occasion of the Millennium birth celebrations of the great Sri Vaishnavacharya we have designed many programmes which included release of three books – Ramayana Yuddhakanda, Uttarakanda and Vedartha Sangraham. The Gadya Trayam is yet another precious work which includes Saranagati Gadyam, Vaikuntha Gadyam and Sri Ranga Gadyam which will be rendered by our students of SV Music and Dance College, Balamandir and Veda Pathashala respectively”, he added.

TWO RESERVOIRS SOON-CE

The Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy said, TTD has conducted preliminary survey to construct two more reservoirs in Tirumala.

SRIVARI SEVAKULU AS DHARMAPRACHARA AMBASSADORS-PRO

TTD PRO and HoD Sri Vari Seva Dr T Ravi said, apart from training the Srivari Sevakulu in pilgrim services, the TTD is planning to make them ambassadors of Dharma Prachara. “Our training programme with Satyasai Seva organisation is also moving ahead in this direction”, he added.

NEW MENU A SUCCESS WITH THE PILGRIMS-SGDEO AT

The Special Grade Deputy EO of Annaprasadam Smt Chenchu Lakhsmi the new break fast menu which was introduced by TTD in MTVAC on May 3 is a huge success with the pilgrims. “On the day one we started the menu with 2000 and now we have been serving upma, pongal, vermicelli to over 10,000 pilgrims from 9am to 11am. In hall number four which is meant for buffet we have also introduced pappu, rothi along with ready made annaprasadams like pulihora, sambar rice and daddojanam”, she added,
