LET’S PROTECT THE COWS AND PRESERVE OUR CULTURE-TTD CHAIRMAN

Tirupati, 30 July 2016: The Cow being the embodiment of three crore deities, it is the responsibility of every Hindu to protect the Gomata and preserve our rich heritage and culture, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

The chairman inspected the SV Gosamrakshanasala in Tirupati on Saturday and personally examined the special care and fodder being offered to the cows here.

Later speaking to media persons he said, at present there are 2560 cattle in 65 acres of spacious area in SV Gosala. About 185 are milch yielding cows producing over 1450 litres of milk per day. To protect the desi cows in a better way, the TTD has also took over 450 acres of land in Palamaner and a massive state of art building with cow sheds and fodder facilities is also in offing”, he added.

He said so far Rs.79crores have been offered to Gosamrakshana Trust by donors. He urged more and more philanthropists should donate for this trust.

Earlier the Chairman also visited the shed of 52 calves which were rescued on July 27 by some locals in Punganur-Palamaner border, while some miscreants were illegally transporting them to butcher house. The Chairman expressed serious concern towards this inhumane gesture by some miscreants. All the rescued calves were brought to SV Goshala. He instructed the Goshala authorities to feed them milk and proper food every day.

COW AND CALF DONATED

Meanwhile Chennai based Sri Dorairaj on Saturday donated a cow and calf to SV Goshala. TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, Goshala Director Dr Harnath Reddy and others were also present.
