LOCAL DEVOTEE’S LARGESSE

TIRUPATI, FEB 26: In a philanthropic gesture, a Tirupati-based ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara Sri Viswanatha Babu donated a huge amount to the tune of Rs.74lakhs to all the TTD-run nine trusts on Thursday and handed over the respective cheques to the TTD Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao in his chambers of TTD Administrative building.

Sri Viswanatha Babu who resides in NGOs colony which is located in the heart of the temple town has donated RS.50lakhs towards Pranadana, Rs.10 to Vidyadana, Rs.5lakhs to Nityannaprasadam, Rs.1.5 lakhs each to BIRRD, Balamandir, Heritage Preservation, Gosamrakshana, Veda Parirakshana and Srinivasa Sankar Netralaya trusts taking the total to Rs.74lakhs.
