LOCAL TEMPLES TO GET A GLORIFIED LOOK FOR VAIKUNTHA EKADASI
Tirupati, 19 December 2016: The local temples under the umbrella of TTD in Tirupati are set for a new look for the ensuing big fete, Vaikuntha Ekadasi which falls on January 8. TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has instructed the concerned officials to take up the illumination works for the upcoming auspicious occasion.
The weekly review meeting held at the chambers of TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Monday in Tirupati. Instructing the officials concerned, he directed that enough number of lockers should be made available for the pilgrims in Srinivasam and Vishnunivasam. He also instructed that the escalator in Vishnu Nivasam should function properly.
The EO directed the engineering wing to complete the road repair works and LED lighting before December 25 in Tirupati. He also instructed to give wide publicity of e-Donation, e-Hundi, e-Accommodation etc. in SVBC and bring awareness among the pilgrims.
Later he instructed the TTD EO Dr T Ravi to complete the sales of TTD calendars and diaries before first week of January. “Keep large chunk of stock near railway station “, he added.
Regarding the developmental works with respect to Upamaka, Vontimitta he instructed the officials of Engineering department to speed up the works. “The vahana mandapam in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple should also complete within scheduled time”, he mentioned.
All projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao, DLO Sri Venkatramana, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Additional FACAO Sri Balaji and others were also present.
