LORD GOVINDARAJA SWAMY GLITTERS ON SURYA PRABHA VAHANAM

Tirupati, 6 June 2017: The procession of Lord Sri Govinda Raja Swamy on the seventh day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam atop the finely decked Suryaprabha Vahanam was an enthralling experience for the devotees.

The Lord took a majestic ride along the thoroughfares of the temple town on the dazzling Surya Prabha Vahanam on Tuesday morning.
Later Snapana Tirumanajanam was performed to the processional deities inside temple premises.

SIGNIFICANCE:

Mythology has it that the Sun God ( Lord Surya) is the key architect of life of humans, animals and plants from whom even powerful luminaries receive luminosity in the cosmos.

It is widely believed that witnessing this Vahanam not only provides sustained life but also relieves one from physical ailment.

H.H.Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala Mutt, H.H.Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy,Local Temples DyE.O Smt Varalakshmi, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadesswara Reddy and large number of devotees took part in this function.
