LORD KALYANA VENKATESWARA COMMENCES HIS VAHANAM SPREE WITH PEDDA SESHA VAHANAM

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 16 February 2017: The series of vahanam processions commenced with Pedda Sesha Vahanam taking the lead on Thursday evening as a part of the ongoing Salakatla brahmotsavams of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram.

The significance of this pride ride of Lord on His beloved seven hooded mighty serpent king Adisesha is that Lord is always with His beloved devotees if they offer Him selfless services. Adisesha won this honour of being the first vahanam during Lord’s celestial utsavams by having served His Almighty in various forms including His divine cot, divine umbrella etc.

Earlier Unjal Seva was performed in the temple premises.

The cultural programmes organised during the annual fete added colour to this mega religious ceremony.

JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, Addl CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Venkataiah, AEO Sri Dhananjeyulu, Temple Staff and devotees took part.
