LORD SRI RAMA RIDES ON LORD HANUMA

Tirupati, 23 March 2015: “He had Bhakti, Sakti, Vidya and Seva-Bhava, Brahmacharya and Nishkamya-Bhava. He never boasted of His bravery and intelligence”, these words are uttered none other than Lord Sri Rama Himself who described the mightiness of Lord Hanuman, His beloved servant. As a part of the ongoing Navahnika Brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati, on the sixth day on Monday, the Lord took celestial ride on Hanumantha Vahanam, which happens to be the most favourite ride of Lord Sri Rama.

Lord Hanuman remained faithful to His Master Lord Sri Rama through out His life. More than a servant he is adored by Lord Sri Rama as His beloved friend and a special bond developed between them which is considered to be ideal for humanity even today. There are eight primary powers that are mentioned in the scriptures in relation to Hanuman.

Anima: the ability to shrink ones size
Mahima: the ability to increase ones size
Lagima: the ability to be weightless
Garima: the ability to increase ones weight
Brapti: the ability to travel anywhere and acquire anything
Parakamya: an irresistible willpower
Vastiva: mastery over all creatures
Istiva: the ability to become godlike with the power to create and destroy

With all these powers Lord Hanuman became one of the most important deities in Hindu Dharma. Lord Sri Rama blessed His devotees on the Golden Hanumantha Vahana on Monday morning.
