LORD KODANDARAMA TAKEN AROUND IN “PALLAKI”

Tiruapti, 22 March 2015: Processional deity of Lord Kodandarama, who went around the temple on a flower-bedecked palanquin during the ‘Pallaki Seva’ performed at his temple here on Sunday, as part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam. The deity of Rama, with his traditional bow intact, was arranged on the golden seat and carried by the palanquin-bearers, which turned out to be the cynosure of all eyes.

As a part of the religious procession, the famous “Sri Vari Padalu” which is usually adorned to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala was taken on a grand procession in the streets of Tirupati from Kommalamma shatram to reach Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple.

DyEO Sri Bhupathi Reddy, Supdt Sri Krishna Varma, Temple Inspectors Sri Sesha Reddy, Sri Murali, Temple Archaka Sri Nandu Swamy, Archakas Sri Kiran Swamy, Tarun Swamy and large number of devotees took part.
