LORD MALAYAPPA ENJOYS SPRING FESTIVAL ON THE HOT SUNNY DAY

VASANTHA MANDAPAM DONS “BHULOKA NANDANAVAMA” LOOK

Tirumala, 8 April 2017: Its been a hot sunny day on Saturday and Lord Malayappa Swamy rejoiced the aromatic bath snapana tirumanjanam along with his two consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi as a part of the first day of Salakatla Vasanthotsavams which commmenced in Tirumala on a religious note.

The celestial event took place in the Vasanthotsava Mandapam in the hill town between 2pm and 4pm. The Vasantha Mandapam has been decked as “Bhuloka Nandanavam” with the garden department of TTD coming out Nandana Vanam concept with the largesse made by donor Meenakshi Sundaram from Kumbakonam for the entire arrangement.

The monkeys hanging from the branches, Crouching Tiger, Swans in the pond, dancing peacock, grazing deer, the wild flora and fauna enhanced the glamour of the premises.

RADHA GAMANAM THRICE IN A YEAR-JEO

After Snapana Tirumanjanam offered with all the ingredients including coconut, milk, curd, honey, turmeric and sandal paste the deities were rendered harati. After the celestial fete, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju told media persons, On first two days Lord Malayappa and His two consorts will be rendered celestial bath while on final day along with Malayappa Swamy and Sridevi, Bhudevi, Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya Sametha Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy, Rukmini Satyabhama Sametha Sri Krishna Swamy will also take part in the celestial bath.

“Swarnarathotsavam will be observed on second day morning between 8am and 9am followed by snapana tirumanjanam. Usually this fete is being observed three times in a year during annual brahmotsavams, Vaikuntha Ekadasi and on second day of annual vasanthotsavam”, the JEO added.

Meanwhile TTD has cancelled arjitha sevas including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam Sahasra Deeplankara Seva in connection with this festival.

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Temple DyEO Sri Rama Rao, Peishkar Sri Ramesh, Parpathyedar Sri Doraswamy Naik, Sri Gururaja Rao, OSD Sri Seshadri and devotees took part.
