LORD OF SEVEN HILLS SET TO WAKE UP TO THE TUNES OF TIRUPPAVAI

Tirumala, 14 December 2016: With ‘Dhanurmasam’, which is considered to be the one of the holiest months in Hindu calendar, getting off to a start from Friday at the auspicious time of 4:56am, the Tirumala temple will is set to wake up to the melodious tunes of Andal Sri Godai Tiruppavai recitation for a period of one month till January 14 next.

The Hill temple of Lord Venkateswara will witness the replacement of Suprabhata Seva with Tiruppavai and the temple precincts would reverberate to the notes of the 30 psalms composed in Tamil by Andal Sri Goda Devi.

On Friday, with the advent of Dhanurmasam in wee hours, the abhisheka seva has been advanced to 1:30am and TTD has also cancelled Nija Pada Darshanam.
