LORD PRASANNA VENKANNA TAKEN AROUND IN ‘PALLAKI’
Appalayagunta, 10 June 2017: On the fifth day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam, the deity of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in Appalayagunta was taken in a palanquin during ‘PallakiUtsavam’ performed on Saturday.
The deity was decorated with rare jewels and ornaments befitting the occasion and made to sit on the palanquin, which was carried on the four ‘Mada’ streets around the temple. The celestial beauty is described as ‘Mohini’ on the occasion.
