LORD SOMASKANDAMURTHY RIDES BHUTA VAHANAM

Tirupati, 19 Feb. 17: On the third day of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams in the famous shrine of Lord Kapileswara swamy in Tirupati, the Lord Somaskandamurthy accompanied by Goddess Kamakshi took celestial ride on BHUTA-VAHANAM in the morning.

BHUTA VAHANAM: When the entire world is under threat with the evil powers of demons, Lord Brahma approached Lord Shiva who assured him to control the demonic powers and took them to burial grounds. Hence he achieved the name Bhutanath. To symbolise his authority over the demonic powers, the Lord took celestial ride on Bhuta VAHANAM on Wednesday morning.

Temple DyEO Sri Subramanyam, Suptd Sri Obul Reddy, Temple Inspectors Sri K Narayana, Sri Muralikrishna, AVSO Sri Raju, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadeeswara Reddy and others took part in the event.
