LORD TAKES PLEASANT RIDE ON SOUL CHILLING CHANDRAPRABHA

Tirumala, 9 October, 2016: On seventh day evening, in the pleasant moon light, Lord took celestial ride on the illuminating Chandraprabha Vahanam and blessed his devotees on Sunday night.

IMPORTANCE

Chandra, according to Puranas, is white in color. He is described as a young, beautiful, fair, two-armed god who has a club and a lotus in his hands. He rides a chariot pulled by ten white horses or an antelope and moves around the sky at night. The other names of moon are Rajanipati (lord of night), Indu (the brighten drop) and Kshuparaka (one who illuminates the night).

By taking ride on chandraprabha, Lord gives a soothing feel to devotees with His graceful presence.
