MAHASAMPROKSHANAM TO SRI ANJANEYASWAMY AND ANJANADEVI TEMPLE ON AUG 31

Tirupati, 28 August 2014: Three day Maha Samprokashanam festival will commence in the temple of Sri Anjneyaswami and Anjanadevi, located at Akasha Ganga theertha, 3kms from Tirumala shrine of Lord Venkateswara from August 29 to 31.

Legends speak of volumes on how the holy waters from the Akasha ganga were brought every day for Abhishekam and other rituals at the Srivari Temple at Tirumala. Purana’s mention that this location is also named as Anjanadri as it was here that Anjanadevi meditated and begot Anjaneya as her son. The temple of Anjanadevi and Anjaneya were renovated two years ago and also made center of Balalayam activities.

As part of the rituals for three days on day one between 9.00am to 12noon Vigjeswara Puja and Mahaganapathi Homam will be performed. In the evening Vasthu Mandala Puja, Mruatsya grahanam and Ankurarpanam will be conducted.

On Day 2, August 30th, Yagashala Puja, Panchagavya Aradhana, Bimba Asta Dasha Kriyakalapam,and Nitya homam will be performed in the morning. In the evening Yagashala puja, Shayanadhivasam,Bimba Pratisha and Asta Bandhana rituals will be held.

On the last day i.e August 31, Kumbhabhishekam, Vimana Shakala Maha Samprokshanam will be performed in a grand manner.

Sri V Krishna Reddy, the DyEO of Kalyanakatta will be supervising the activities of the Maha Samprokshanam at Anjanadevi Temple all the three days.
