MAIDEN PARUVETOTSAVAM PERFORMED IN SRINIVASA MANGAPURAM

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 22 July 2015: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has performed its maiden Pauvetotsavam-the Hunt Festival with religious fervour and pomp in Srinivasa Mangapuram on Wednesday.

Earlier the processional deity of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy draped in all weapons was taken to the newly renovated Parveta Mandapam, which is about 5km from temple , near Srivari Mettu footpath route.

The unique festival started and the Archakas performed mock hunt festival throwing weapons at the replicas of wild beasts on behalf of Lord. A donor has donated two and a half kilos weighing silver sharp edged weapon on this occasion. The devotees were enthralled to witness the interesting fete.
Earlier the Lord was taken to this Mandapam in a ceremonious procession.

TTD EO Dr D Samba siva Rao, JEO Tirupati Sri Pola Bhaskar, Trust board member Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, VGO Smt Vimala Kumari, Temple DyEO Sri Venkataiah and others were also present.
