MALAYAPPA FLOATS ON “TEPPA”

TIRUMALA, MARCH 3: The five-day annual float festival of Teppotsavam assumed enhanced look on Tuesday evening, as the processional deity of Lord Sri Malyappa Swamy glided smoothly on the wave currents of Swamy Pushkarini to the rhythmic chant of vedic hymns accompanied by his two consorts on the beautifully decked float.

As a part of the annual Plavotsavam, on the third day, the Srivaru who enchanted the pilgrims on the first two days in Sri Rama and Sri Krishna incarnations respectively, took his own form of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy to enthrall the pilgrims.

The Lord will take pleasant ride in the sacred waters of the temple tank from 7pm to 8pm in three rounds along the Vasantha Mandapam located at the middle of Swamy Pushkarini.
