MANAGUDI IS A “BHAKTI MOVEMENT”-TTD EO

TIRUPATI, NOV 17:  TTD EO Sri MG Gopal advocated that the mass festival of Managudi jointly taken up by TTD and AP Endowments department across 22thousand temples in the state is a unique “Bhakti Movement”.

The TTD EO took part in Managudi programme that was observed in couple of temples including Lord Sri Kasi Vishweshwara Swamy temple at Manchineelagunta in Tirupati and Folk Goddesses Akkagarla Gudi in the remote village of Kottala in Chandragiri mandal on Sunday.

Addressing the auspicious occasion at Lord Shiva Temple in Tirupati he said, the Hindu Sanatana Dharma always preached the morals and principles that are necessary for a human being to lead a pious and righteous way of life.

“Temples acted as the epitome of our rich culture and heritage. They taught us the way that every human need to lead a life of values. In order to make the children and youth of this generation to know about the values embedded in ancient Hindu Dharma this noval programme has been designed and observed across 22thousand countries in the state of AP.

Later in his address at Kotala village temple he complimented the villagers for showing the enthusiasm in observing the mass temple festival with religious vigour. “You stood as a role model to others. With this spirit we will conduct Managudi in more number of temples by next year”, he maintained.

Renowned Scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, HDPP Special Officer Sri Raghunath, Deputy EO Sri umapathi Reddy and others were also present.

Meanwhile Managudi festival has been observed across 22thousand temples in the state on Sunday. West Godavari recorded highest number of temples where the mass festival is observed. Two crore holy threads have been distributed to all the temples on this occasion.

MANAGUDI TEACHES THE RIGHTEOUS WAY OF LIFE-TIRUPATI JEO

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar called upon the students to devolop three qualities of courage, wisdom and good etiquette which are very much essential to lead a righteous life in the society and added that “Managudi” is aimed at propagating the same values to the youth of today to make them good citizens of tomorrow.

Addressing the Managudi programme at Sri Padmavathi Womens’ Degree and PG College in Tirupati on Sunday, the JEO said with out any one of the above said characteristics, it is impossible to reach the goal in life. Exemplyfying the life of great person like Bhartruhari and quoting the saying of Swamy Vivekananda, he said they achieved great heights and global acclaim with their behaviour and character.

Earlier he took part in the puja organised in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi within the college premises. Later he distributed the Managudi books and sacred threads to the students.

College Pricipal Smt Gnanakumari, HDPP Special Officer Sri Raghunath, Deputy EO Sri Umapathi Reddy were also present.
