“MANAGUDI” PRACHARA RATHAM FLAGGED OFF

Tirumala, 1 August 2014: The Publicity Vehicle-“Prachara Ratham” for Fifth phase of Managudi programme has been flagged off from Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram on Friday by Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Addressing the occasion, the JEO said, TTD with the joint collaboration of AP Endowments department has taken up the massive spiritual event of Managudi in 52,000 temples across the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana on the auspicious day of Shravana Pournami on August 10.

“The day is considered to be very pious since it happens to be the asterism of Lord Venkateswara. The publicity vehicle will round about the nearby villages and take up wide publicity to create awareness among the masses to voluntarily take part in this mammoth religious event. “Similar rathams will also be flagged off from Sri Kalahasti, Kanipakam, Simhachalam and other temples”, the JEO maintained.

HDPP In-charge Secretary Sri S Raghunath, Kalyanotsavam Project Officer Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Local temples Dy EO Sri Sridhar were also present.
