MANAGUDI SHOULD ACT AS A PLATFORM TO PROMOTE DHARMIC VALUES AMONG STUDENTS AND YOUTH-TTD EO
TIRUPATI, NOV 5: TTD EO Sri MG Gopal called upon the officials to make elaborate arrangements with out compromise in every front to see that the fourth phase managudi programme which is slated for November 17 become a huge success.
Reviewing with the heads of various departments on the ongoing arrangements for managudi programme, the EO said, “Managudi” should aim at enlightening the students and youth about the values and ethics embedded in Hindu Sanatana Dharma. “Wide publicity need to be taken to promote this unique religious event where in the people come together and celebrate as a mass festival. It is in fact during this occasion that people irrespective of status, age, gender come together and celebrate the event in communion. So Managudi should be made as a platform to inculcate human values among the people especially the next generation.
He directed the newly constituted committees including Procurement, Packing, Dispatch, Co-ordination, , Publicity and cultural committees to complete their respective tasks within the stipulated time.
Listing out the week-long special programmes in connection with Managudi he said, the festival spree will commence with Vanabhojanotsavam on November 11 where in the people will have community dining and Laksha Bilwarchana mahotsavam. This will be followed by mass Satyanarayana Swamy vratam on 13th of this month on the occasion of Suddha Ekadasi, followed by Kaisika Dwadasi Tulasi Puja on November 14. Over two crores of kankanas need to be distributed this time on Novembe 17 in connection with Karthika Pournami Managudi utsavam”, told the officials.
