MEGA RELIGIOUS FETE IN LORD SRI RAMA TEMPLE COMMENCES

TIRUPATI, MARCH 18: The annual nine-day brahmotsavam in the ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati commenced on a grand note on Wednesday with the Dhwajarohana Mahotsavam held between 9am to 9.30am in Mesha Lagnam.

As usual, amidst the vedic hymns, the Garuda Flag has been hoisted on the temple flag mast signalling invitation to all the deities present in 14 lokas to take part in the Navahnika Brahmosavams. This was followed by Asthanam and Snapana Tirumanjanam.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar took part in this religious ceremony. Later speaking to media persons on this occasion, the JEO said, elaborate arrangements have been made for the mega religious fete. He gave a call to the denizens to take part in large numbers for this fete and kindly co-operate with the TTD and police in following traffic regulations during Vahanam processions.

The JEO also commenced Ramakoti Rachana in the temple premises followed by the inauguration of floral exhibition which stood as special attraction with mythological themes including Ravana and Sita in Ashoka Vanam, Rama-Ravana Yuddham episodes etc. Later the JEO released the Valmikipuram Brahmotsavam Posters on this occasion. The annual brahmotsavams of this yet another ancient temple which is under the umbrella of TTD is set to commence from March 26 and will conclude on April 3.

Meanwhile in the evening, Lord Sri Rama took celestial ride on Pedda Sesha Vahana between 8pm to 10pm.
