NAVAHNIKA KARTHIKA BRAHMOTSAVAMS OF GODDESS PADMAVATHI OFF TO A COLOURFUL START WITH DHWAJAROHANAM

TIRUCHANOOR, DECEMBER 8: The nine-day Navahnika Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor is off to a religious start with Dhwajarohanam in the auspicious Dhanur Lagnam on Tuesday in the temple town.

The day began with the celestial Suprabhata Seva followed by Sahasranamarchana, Nityarchana, Suddhi, and Tiruchi Utsavam where in the Goddess in all Her resplendent took a celestial ride in the four mada streets.
Later the temple priests as per the norms of Pancharathra Agama performed

TIRUMANAJANA ALANKARAM:

Tirumanjana seva and alankaram to Dhwajasthambham-the temple pillar before getting ready for the most important and foremost ritual of annual brahmotsavams-Dhwajarohanam.

DHWAJAROHANAM:

In the auspicious muhurat of Dhanurlagnam at 8:32am the Dhwaja Patam carrying the celestial of Goddess Padmavathi-the divine Elephant has been hoisted over the temple pillar implying the successful opening of the nine-day fete.

INVITING DEITIES WITH VARIOUS RAGAS:

Earlier the temple priests rendered veda mantras and invited the deities of all lokas by rendition of their favourite ragas including Kalyani, Mohana, Panthuvarali, Sankarabharanam, Saveri, Nata, Kambhoji and others in a grand manner. The parivara devatas including Garuda, Vishwaksena etc.have been invited for the mega religious festival.

DEVOTEES WILL RELISH THE GRAND CEREMONY:

TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy on Tuesday said that the pilgrims will have a great divine treat of all vahanams during the nine-day festival. “All the arrangements are on par with Tirumala brahmotsavams. The devotees can cherish and have the blessings of universal Mother”, he added.

PANCHAMI TEERTHAM DIVINITY WILL LAST FOR THREE DAYS:

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said, the Gaja Vahana seva will be on December 12 followed by Garuda Seva on December 13. While on the last day, there will be Panchami Teertham on December 16 and the divine power of the sacred water in Padma Pushkarini will last for next three days. So the devotees can take the holy bath leisurely”, the EO added.

ENHANCED SERVICES TO PILGRIMS:

TTD has made elaborate arrangements to the pilgrims in terms of Annaprasadam, Darshanam, Sanitation and near Vahanams. Special cultural programmes have also been arranged by HDPP, Annamacharya Project to spiritually entertain the pilgrims”, said Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.
