“NEED TO SCALE UP ETHICAL,DHARMIC AND MORAL VALUES AMONG STUDENTS-TTD EO
TIRUPATI, JUNE 22: “Our country has preached the world the importance of Dharmic values since several centuries and there is an urgent need to impart these values to our students who are future builders of this great land”, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
Addressing a meeting arranged by HDPP wing of TTD with the language teachers hailing from various corporate & private schools in the two Telugu speaking states of AP and TS in SVETA bhavan in Tirupati on Monday evening with an aim to implement Subhapradham and Sadacharam programmes in a better way, the EO called upon the faculty members of various institutions to join hands in the noble mission of how to scale up moral and ethical values among the students by teaching the essence of values embedded in Hindu Sanatana Dharma in an effective manner.He also said, the TTD communication channels including SVBC and Sapthagiri Magazine can also be best utilised to see that the programme reach more number of students.
Earlier Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, there is a massive response from the students side to take part in Subhapradham week-long summer classes organsied by TTD.
All Projects special officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao said, there is need to use effective methods while teaching the Santana Dharmic values by narrating stories from puranas correlating them with contemporary instances to attract the students. However, he said the required text will be designed with the help of experts from Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Bharathi Vidya Bhavan and other institutions.
HDPP Secretary Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna said, the aim of this meeting is to how best we can use these programmes to reach more number of students.
Taking the call of the Executive Officer of TTD, the teachers also expressed their solidarity and some have even offered suggestions to revive the twin programmes in a better way for the benefit of the students. A Telugu Teacher hailing from a private school from Kurnool said, there is need to use more and more technology also to see that the purpose of this novel and noble mission is achieved. “Distribute the lessons which you have designed in the form of CDs “, he suggested. While another teacher said, a pre-selection exam may be conducted on Dharmic issues and the students who excel in this programme may be given exclusive training in Subhapradham”, he maintained.
HDPP Deputy EO Sri Dhananjayulu, Epic Studies Special Officer Sri Damodar Naidu and others were also present.
