NO ADVANCE BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION DURING BRAHMOTSAVAMS

Tirumala, 1 September 2014: In connection with the Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams for the current year which are scheduled to take place between September 26 to October 4, there will be no advance booking of accommodation from September 25 till the completion of the mega religious event.

There are about 6650 cottages, chowltries, guest houses, dormitories etc. which could accommodate over 50 thousand pilgrims in Tirumala.

TTD houses several cottages and suites ranging between free to Rs.6000 in Tirumala. Among these cottages those ranging between Rs.50 to Rs.750 are around 5,6000 while the others are between Rs.1000 to Rs.6000.

The cottages will be allotted to only self donors during the brahmotsavam period and not to others on their recommendation letters.

Meanwhile the various mutts situated at Tirumala have handed over 50% of their rooms to TTD to facilitate accommodation to pilgrims for this period.
