NON-STOP MILK SUPPLY TO CHILDREN IN COMPARTMENTS-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, FEB 7: The supply of milk to the children waiting in compartments to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala will be hence forth provided in a continuous manner, said, TTD EO Sri MG Gopal reacting to a query of a pilgrim caller during the monthly “Dial your EO” programme which held at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday.

Sri Srinivas of Nidadavolu, West Godavari district brought to the notice of EO that the most of the children are suffering from hunger in the long waiting compartments during the rush period since milk is being provided by TTD only during stipulated time slots which in turn forcing the parents to face lot of problems in pacifying their kids.

Reacting to this query TTD EO said immediate arrangements will be made to see that milk is provided to the children round the clock instead of specified time slots.

Reacting to a pilgrim caller Sri Mohan Kumar Raju of Chittoor who complained TTD EO of the poor maintenance of Kalyana Mandapam in Chittoor, the EO said maintenance workswill be initiated immediately.

The same caller also suggested the TTD to conduct HDPP and Annamacharya project programmes inlcuidng bhajans and keertans in the evening times instead of after noon hours. Reacting to this query the EO said the feasibility of suggestion will be looked while discussing with the concerned department. However the EO also said interesting local talents could voluntarily participate in Dharmic cultural activiites who will be identified and provided opportunity with the local members of Dharma Prachara Mandalis(DPMs).

Addressing the query of a pilgrim caller Smt Kesavan from Bangalore who said whether it is possible to change or transfer the name of the ticket holder for the arjitha seva which was booked in advance booking. Since she had lost her husband on whose name the Abhishekam tickets was booked. Reacting to the query the EO suggested her to send all the ticket details addressing to TTD EO. “After verifying the records we will initiate the name transfer process”, he added.

Another caller Sri K Ramesh of Kadapa requested the TTD EO to perform the annual brahmotsavams of Devuni Kadapa in a grand manner for which the EO replied, the suggestion will be looked into.

Answering the caller Sri Ramesh from Tirupati who asked to introduce on-line booking of darshan tickets for the locals residing in Tirupati, Tirumala and Tiruchanoor, the EO said, it is not possible for implementation due to some limitations. Similarly another caller Sri Vijaya Sekhar from Tirupati suggested the EO for special darshan for ex-service men for which the TTD EO denied the possibility.

Sri Narasimha Appa Rao from Bobbili suggested the EO to see that a teertham bottle and Mahaprasadam packet be provided to arjitha grihastas after completion of Seva. The TTD EO said, since these materials are in limited numbers it cannot be implemented.

Earlier before receiving the calls from pilgrims, TTD EO said the Srinivasa Mangapuram brahmotsavams will be from 19th to 27th of February while the Brahmotsavams at Kapileshwara Swamy temple in Tirupati will be from 20th February to 1st of March. He said TTD has commenced issuing one free laddu ot the pedestrian pilgrims from January 11 on Vaikuntha Ekadasi day.

“Similarly we have also commenced free distribution of annaprasadam to those pilgrims who are staying inVishnunivasam, Sreenivasam and Madhavam amenities complexes. We have also implemented providing darshan to denizens of Tirupati, Tirumala and Tiruchanoor recently with limited number of darshan tokens”, he added

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and other officers were also present.
