PALLAKI UTSAVAM ELEVATES THE CHARM OF PURUSHOTTAMA

Tirupati, 8 April 2016: The much awaited ‘Pallaki Utsavam’ was performed on the fifth day of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple as the processional deity of Lord Rama was taken around the four mada streets on a flower-bedecked palanquin.

The beauty, charm, elegance of a Lord Sri Rama appeared to have been enhanced on this tastefully decked Pallaki.

The procession turned out to be a visual delight for the devotees who thronged in large numbers to witness Lord Rama in all his glory. The deity of Lord Rama, in tact with the traditional bow, was seated on a golden throne and was carried by the palanquin bearers to the rhythmic beats of Melam and dance by bhajan troupes.

Dyeo Smt Munilakshmi, Superintendent Sri Uma Maheshwar Reddy Temple Inspector Sri Sesha Reddy, Temple Archaka Sri Nandu Swamy, Archakas Sri Kiran Swamy, Tarun Swamy and large number of devotees took part.
