EO REVIEWS ON SRI PAT BRAHMOTSAVAMS

TIRUCHANOOR, NOVEMBER 25: TTD Executive officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao called upon the officials to take all necessary steps for the successful conduct of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru in Tiruchanoor which is scheduled to take place from December 8 to 16 with Ankurarpanam on December 7.

Reviewing the arrangements for the Brahmotsavams with the officials at Asthana Mandapam in Tiruchanoor, here on Wednesday, the EO directed the officials to give wide publicity to the festival in the surrounding villages and hamlets with the help of publicity materials like posters, pamphlets and booklets.

The EO said as Ammavaru brahmotsavams is considered to be one of the mega religious events after Tirumala Brahmotsavams, the arrangements should be on par with Srivaru brahmotsavams without any compromise. The EO also instructed the officials concerned to see that the electrical illuminations and floral decorations stand out during the celestial fete.

Instructing the PRO Dr T Ravi he directed him to open one one more counter to sell new year calendars and diaries inside temple premises also apart from the existing counter during the annual fete. He also instructed him to provide Srivari sevakulu to render services to the visiting pilgrims for the occasion.

Later speaking to media persons he said, the annual fete of Ammavaru is scheduled from December 8-16. Among the nine days, the important days of the fete includes Gaja Vahanam on December 12 and Panchami Teertham on final day on December 16. Keeping the past experience, we are making making elaborate sanitation, security, parking and other arrangements with the help of the police, revenue and Panchayat officials apart from our departments. As the holiness of Panchami Teertham (between 11:45 am to 11:55am) on December 16 remains for next 72 hours, the pilgrim devout can have the sacred bath in Pushkarini without any hurry.

TTD Tirupati JEO Sri P. Bhaskar, CVSO Sri Nagendra Kumar, Urban SP Sri Gopinath Jetti, Special Grade Deputy EO Smt Chenchulakshmi, revenue, panchayat, police officials were also present.

NEW “TANDLU” FOR AMMAVARI BRAHMOTSAVAMS

As there are less than two weeks left for the nine day Kartheeka Brahmotsavams of Tiruchanoor, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao inspected the ongoing arrangements in the temple town on Wednesday.

He visited the Annaprasadam complex and interacted with the pilgrims about annaprasadam and other amenities being provided to them. The Pilgrims expessed their immense satisfaction over the arrangements later he also inspected the ongoing illumination works, Vahanams etc.

Later he inspected the new “TANDLU”- the logs used to carry vahanams which are made out of banyan tree roots. TTD forest department has prepared three pairs including a pair of 30 feet, 22feet and a 13feet Tandlu to carry vahanams and for Unjal Seva for the occasion.
