PAVITROTSAVAMS CONCLUDE WITH PURNAHUTHI

Tiruchanur, 8 September 2014: The three-day annual Pavitrotsavams concluded on a grand religious note in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru at Tiruchanoor on Monday with Purnahuthi.

The day commenced with rendering of Suprabhatam followed by Sahasranamarchana. Later the processional deity of Goddess is taken to Yagashala and special aradhana and homams were performed before conducting Maha Purnahuthi.

After the ritual, Santhi Homam, Pavitra Visarjanam, Kumbha Prokshana, Nivedana were performed before offering sacred teertham to the devotees who took part in this celestial fete.

Later the temple priests performed Snapana Tirumanjanam to the utsava murthies which is followed by the procession of Sri Krishna Swamy, Sri Sundara Raja Swamy and Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru in the four mada streets.

TTD EO Sri MG Gopal, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, Sp.Gr.Dy.E.O Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, AEO Smt Nagarathna and other officials were also present.
