PEDIATRIC PATIENTS ENJOY THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS IN BIRRD HOSPITAL

Tirupati, 22 October 2014: The festival of Lights-Diwali has ventured as a pleasant surprise to lit the lights of joy in the lives of the in-patients in the pediatric ward of TTD-run Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) in the temple city of Tirupati on Wednesday evening amidst pomp and gaiety.

TTD Executive Officer Sri MG Gopal who graced the occasion, addressing media persons he said, the festival is being observed in a grand manner in this ortho hospital under the able leadership of its Director Dr Jagdish from the past few years. “A Tamilnadu based donor Sri Vaigo contributes to celebrate this festival in a big way since many patients who were undergoing treatment will be away from their places. I wish that the children who are under medication should recover soon and enjoy their lives like any other child of their age with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. I specially congratulate all the staff members of BIRRD and especially Dr Jagdish for their impeccable services”, he added.

Meanwhile the front yard of BIRRD is been illuminated with electrical arches in a colourful manner befitting the occasion. The premises were decorated with diyas all around. The patients were made to sit in the finely decorated yard and were distributed crackers.

All the patients, doctors and other staff members enjoyed the occasion and burnt the crackers. Tirupati Urban SP Sri Gopinath Jetti was also present.
