PILGRIMS INCREASED BY 8% AND OUR SERVICES BY 28%-TTD EO

Tirumala, 29 May 2017: When compared to last year, the number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala temple was increased by 8% while the services by TTD including Annaprasadam, water distribution etc. enhanced by 28%, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

The TTD administrative chief inspected the VQC 1 and 2 compartments along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on Monday. He interacted with the pilgrims sitting in the waiting compartments and verified the amenities being provided to them.

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, Tirumala has been witnessing unprecedented crowd from the past few days which is huge than the previous year. “May 27 over one lakh devotees had Darshan and on May 28 about 99 thousand odd devotees offered prayers in Hill Shrine. All our officials, under the supervision of our Tirumala Jeo KS Sreenivasa Raju, are working day and night from the past ten days to offer better services to pilgrims. Following the suggestions of pilgrims during our interaction, we will further enhance our food and sanitation services. Especially while serving breakfast menu, milk to children etc”, EO observed.

The EO said, “We will place display boards in each and every compartment in Vaikuntham. Apart from this we will also collect feed back reports from Srivari Sevakulu to improve our quality of services to pilgrims”, he added.

NO VIP BREAK TILL THE PILGRIM RUSH SUBSIDES-TIRUMALA JEO

Speaking to media persons, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said, till the pilgrim rush subsides, the VIP Break Darshan will be limited to only protocol VIPs alone. “We will not accept VIP recommendation letters in the next few week days also”, he maintained.

Meanwhile in the inspection VGO Sri Ravindra Reddy, Special Officer Annaprasadam Smt Chenchulakshmi, Catering Officer Sri Sastry, Health Officer Dr Sermista, PRO Dr T Ravi and others were also present.
