HDPT CONVENES RELIGIOUS CONVENTION WITH THE SUPPORT OF TTD

Tirumala, 20 Feb. 17: The essence of Hindu Sanatana Dharma lies in Vedas with preaches the righteous way of leading human life and we should take forward this legacy for the sake of future generations, asserted HH Sri Govinda Ramanuja Chinna Jiyar Swamy of Sri Tirumala temple.

The fourth Sanatana Hindu Dharmika Sadas has been organised by the Hindu Dhamra Parirakshana Trust (HDPT) with the support of TTD where in over sixty seers and pontiffs from various mutts from across the country and representatives of Like Minded organisations took part in this one day convention that took place at Astana Mandapam in Tirumala on Monday.

The Chief of HDPT Dr PVRK Prasad in his presidential address elaborated on the aim of the convention which emphasises on the protection of Hindu Santana Dharma by taking up multi fold service activities in the grass root level and bringing all the seers of various mutts onto a single platform.

The chairman of HDPT also said that in the last convention which took place on December 2 in 2015 some resolutions have been made and the Trust is also able to take up some initiatives with the support of AP Endowments and TTD. “We have trained some villagers and formed a Hindu Force and today there are about 400 such members offering services as Hindu Dharma Pracharakuku. They will go to villages and see that no conversions take place in Harijanwadas. We are providing education, food, training in dharmic activities, Bhajans etc.in villages with these active workers and it is yielding positive results”, he added.

@ Speed up the construction of temples in Harijanawadas. TTD has already allocated Rs.25cr towards the construction of 500 temples at a cost of Rs.5lakhs for each temple.

In his inaugural session address, TTD trust board chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said, TTD has been doing a series major socio religious activities since several decades, being the custodian of world famous shrine of Tirumala as well Hindu Santana Dharma. “We are committed to take forward our activities in wide spread manner to sustain our dharma. Recently we have also introduced Gopuja on every Friday in Tirumala and it has been receiving overwhelming response from pilgrims”, he added.

In his address TTD EO said, temples are centres of epitome for Dharma Prachara. Protecting, preserving and promoting Vedic the education and Hindu Sanatana Dharma is one of the top most priority areas of TTD besides providing best possible services to multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala. “Vidya, Vaidya, Veda, Gosamrakshana and Alaya promotion are our priorities. Our Vedic students are receiving a stipend of Rs.3lakhs and Agama students Rs.1lakh at the end of their course. Over 1280 Veda Parayanamdars are rendering Vedic mantras in every important temple in each district. Our projects HDPP, Annamacharya, Dasa Sahitya, Alwar Divya Prabandha etc.have been actively working on Dharma Prachara through rath yatras, Bhajans, metlotsavam etc. Our SVBC channel is topping the spiritual channels in dharma Prachara. Our Srivari Seva Volunteers have been rendering excellent services not only in Tirumala and Tirupati but also in their respective places whenever there is big event like Pushkarams, Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, Managudi, dharma rathams etc.

PRINCIPAL SECRETARY AP ENDOWMENTS SRI JSV PRASAD

The Principal Secretary of AP endowments Sri JSV Prasad during his address said, the department has launch a unique programme “Divya Darshanam” on January 2 this year, enabling the people of Dalitawadas to have a free darshan of all major temples. Our target is to provide darshan to 1.30 Lakh people in this programme by the end of this year covering all districts. In future we want to extend this to Kasi, Badrinath, Kedarnath and other important places of pilgrimage also”, he maintained.

The commissioner of AP endowments department Smt YV Anuradha said, the dharmic Sadas has provided a platform to all the seers and pontiffs. And the department will take forward all the activities which are required to protect and preserve Hindu Sanatana Dharma.
