POPULAR SAXOPHONIST PADMASRI DR KADIRI GOPALNATH SERVES LORD VENKATESWARA

Tirumala, 6 October 2016: Devotees at the grand open auditorium of Nada Niranjanam today experienced a feast of carnatic music with the popular saxophonist Padmasri Dr Kadiri Gopalnath as part of the cultural bonanza of the Brahmotsavam-2016.

Known as the saxophone Chakravarthy Gopalnath mastered the western instrument after 20 years of dedicated struggle and made several modifications to suit the raga and pallavi format of carnatic music. Audience at the Nada Niranjanam were spell bound by his spectacle of saxophone rendering to the accompaniment of Violin by Miss. Kanyakumari and team this evening.

When the audience anticipated a jazz style music from Dr Gopalnath and his saxophone the devotees were enthralled and stunned with Thyagaraja and Annamacharya sankeertans and also Venkatesha suprabham on his instrument.

The cultural feast of bhakti music, discourses ,Bhajans and folk arts at Brahmotsavam continues to rock the audience in several auditoriums at both Tirumala and Tirupati. The Bonanza of music, dance and display of mythological profiles on the four mada streets has been a major hit.
