“POTHANA BHAGAVATAM IN ALL ITS GRANDEUR BY YEAR END”-TTD EO

Tirupati, 15 April 2015: TTD is all set to bring out its one of the most popular publications-Pothana Bhagavatham in all its splendour with a new look by revising the existing volumes and bringing out the new volumes by this year end.

The Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao reviewed with the members of the Editorial Board in his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Wednesday along with Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

He said at present Potana Bhagavathm has Tatparya – Padyam alone and is in five volumes. However, he said, it should be brought out on the lines of Kavitraya Mahabharatham giving an additional touch of Pratipadartha and Viseshavyakhyana also so as to give a rich literary look to the great work.

He instructed the the board to complete the task on war-footing without compromising on the quality and bring out the Padya-Pratipadartha-Tatparya-Savyakhyana Sahita Pothana Bhagavatam in eight volumes by this year end.

Editor-in-Chief Dr Samudrala Lakshmanaiah, members of the editorial board Sri Mudivarthi Kondamacharyulu, Sri Appajodu Venkatasubbaiah, Sri Salakha Raghunatha Sharma, sub-editor Sri Narasimhacharyulu were also present.
