PR DEPARTMENT IS THE SOUL OF ANY INSTITUTION-DR KV RAMANACHARY

Tirupati,21 February 2017: The department of Public Relations is the soul of any institution which acts as a connecting bridge between the institution and the public, advocated, the advisor of Telengana Government and Former TTD EO Dr KV Ramanachary.

A meeting on the topic “Devalayalu-Prajasambandhalu” took place at SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati on Tuesday. Speaking on this occasion, Sri Ramanchary said, the PR department acts as the eyes, ears and mouth of any institution and the reputation of the institution depends on the functioning of the department. When coming to a world renowned institution like Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD), every employee should develop PR skills as the temple of Lord Venkateswara is visited by millions of devotees.

Patience, persuasive prowess and Punctuality are the three essential ‘P’ required for a perfect PRO. Earlier there are only few PRs but now every institution is giving priority to PR.

Senior Journalist Sri Potturi Venkateswara Rao, former TTD PRO Sri Subhash Goud also expressed their views on the importance of PR and how it has become one of the chief organs for the smooth functioning of any institution.

Later TTD PRO Dr T Ravi who has penned Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanala Charitraka Nepadhyam-Praja Sambandhalu elaborated on the various welfare activities taken up by TTD. “All of our departments including Kalyana Katta, Annaprasadam, Vigilance, Health etc. have been doing immense service to the visiting pilgrims and every department is a PR by itself in interacting with pilgrim crowd”, he added.

Later renowned scholars complimented the work of TTD PRO and reviewed the contents of the book which is useful for every person who is pursuing career in PR.
