PRACHARA RATHAM FOR VENKATESWARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAMS FLAGGED OFF IN GUNTUR

GUNTUR, 3 April 2015: The Honourable Speaker of AP Assembly Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao on Friday flagged off the Prachara Rathams meant to take up wide publicity for the mega religious and spiritual programme, Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams taken up by TTD in the city from April 10-April 18. While Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar released the wall posters and publicity material of the programme in the police parade grounds in Guntur.

Speaking on this occasion with the media, the JEO said, After receiving huge response for the Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams which were performed for a week by the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) in Visakhapatnam during last year, the temple administration is now set to observe the mega religious programme in Guntur from April 10-18.

Briefing about the concept, Tirupati JEO said tens of thousands of devotees who are unaware of the various rituals that are being performed every day in the temple of Lord Venkateswara can now witness these rituals sitting right in their home town on free of cost and feel the divine experience.

He said, under the instructions of TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao, TTD has set perform the religious fete in Guntur during its second phase. .”All Arjitha Sevas that are being offered to Lord Venkateswara from dawn to dusk in Sri Tirumala temple will be performed during these nine days in the spacious parade grounds of Guntur. The special weekly sevas like Visesha Puja on Monday, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana(Tuesday), Sahasra Kalasabhishekam(Wednesday), Tiruppavada(Thursday), Abhishekam (Friday)will also be performed apart from Suprabhatam, thomala, archana, kalyanotsavam, Dolotsavam, Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam, Sahasradeepalankara Seva and Ekanta Seva in the finely decked replica temple which is going to set up here to give a special feel to devotees. On final day, that is on April 18, in the evening, Srinivasa Kalyanotsavam will also be performed as a concluding fete”, he added.

Narasaraopet MP Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, HDPP Special Officer Sri S Raghunath, co-ordinator Sri Sairam, local DPP member Sri Tadisetty Murali were also present.
