PRELIMINARY SELECTIONS FOR “KALA NEERAJANAM” CONCLUDES IN TIRUPATI

Tirupati, 10 July: The preliminary selections for the suitable candidates who are aspiring to take part in “Kala Neerajanam” concluded at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Thursday.

This selection programme is aimed at providing an opportunity for the local talents to prove their expertise so that they can perform on the “Naada Neerajanam Vedika” and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva in Tirumala.

About 200 odd candidates showcased their talents in the areas of classical music, dance and instrumental music in this selection programme organised jointly by TTDs Hindu DharmaPrachara Parishad and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel.

The preliminary selections began on July 6 starting with the talented candidates hailing from Nellore, followed byAnantapur on July 7, Kurnool on July 8,
Kadapa on July 9 and concluded with the selection of candidates from Chittoor on July 10.

The candidates who are selected will be given an opportunity to perform first at Mahati Auditorium on July 19 and 20. Finally the judges committee will select the final list from them to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform and in Sahasra Deepalankara Seva at Tirumala.

The selected candidates for Nada Neerajanam will be provided accommodation, prasadam and darshan of Lord on free of cost at Tirumala during their performance day. They will also be paid some remuneration for their performance by TTD.
